Mold Components Manufacturing Division
The silent partner in the production of familiar plastic products of every kind. Supplying even single parts with short delivery times and at low prices to meet customer needs flexibly through global production
Plastic or metal is melted and put into a mold, and a shape is formed. This injection molding method is used to make nearly all of the vast number of plastic products that you see around you. Molds are a very important production tool, and whether the molding process is done well or badly can greatly affect the quality and cost of the product. The Mold Components Manufacturing Division undertakes the development and manufacture of a wide variety of components used in molds, including core pins, ejectors, and gate-related products, which are the principal components of plastic molds and die-cast molds. The Division provides a very broad range of behind-the-scenes support to the die and mold industry as well as the molding industry. One of our Division's strengths is the capability for Monotsukuri (creative manufacturing), through which we can carry out additional processes on even a single component, and deliver it to the customer with a short delivery time and at a low price. SURUGA SEIKI makes extensive use of these precision processing technologies and short delivery times for micro production runs (production of a wide variety of product types in small amounts) developed through our press-die parts business. This enables us to develop manufacturing methods that meet the requirements of the components, and to manufacture high-quality products with micron-level precision at plants in Japan and abroad while maintaining short delivery times. SURUGA SEIKI has a system capable of supplying components that customers worldwide can use with absolute confidence and assurance. We will continue to respond to customers' needs in our efforts to carry out product development, make advances in high-precision technologies, increase productivity, and promote globalization.
